A Floating Museum that Brings the Greatest Maritime Feat in History Closer to the City.

Marina Port Valencia is currently hosting one of the historical jewels of navigation, the Nao Victoria, a replica of the legendary ship that carried out one of the greatest maritime feats of all time, the first circumnavigation of the world between 1519 and 1522. This historic vessel will be docked at Marina Port Valencia until Sunday the 23rd, allowing Valencians and tourists to learn about the fascinating maritime exploration carried out by Ferdinand Magellan and completed by Juan Sebastián Elcano.
The Nao Victoria was built in Spain in 1991 after an exhaustive study based on documentary sources and nautical treatises from the 16th century. In 2004, to commemorate the first circumnavigation of the world and to promote the work of Spanish sailors, it embarked on a new two-year voyage around the globe, sailing more than 26,894 nautical miles and visiting 17 countries. After this expedition, it became the first historical replica to circumnavigate the Earth.
