They will be the first buildings in Valencia to secure this top-tier certification.
LEED Platinum recognises responsible planning that prioritises efficiency, wellbeing and impact reduction.
Marina Port Valencia is taking a firm step towards a model that brings together business activity, comfort for office employees, energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
From the outset, the new buildings will integrate renewable energy, resource reuse, efficiency and reduced water and electricity consumption, green spaces and sustainable mobility solutions, reinforcing the vision of a port truly committed to its surroundings.
Marina Port Valencia is powering ahead in its ambition to become a reference point for architecture and environmental excellence. A core objective of this major project is the transformation of the marina into urban and nautical spaces that reconnect the city with the sea, offering comfort for employees of tenant businesses and exceptional sustainability.
Designed to turn the marina into a year-round destination, the project will blend yachting with cutting-edge offices and co-working spaces for businesses and employees, complemented by leisure and dining experiences for all. Boasting a strategic location in a truly unique setting, the project offers the opportunity to experience new ways of working and enjoying the waterfront, enhanced by remarkable views.
In this context, the Marina Norte buildings are poised to become a leading example of sustainable architecture in Valencia. Designed and planned in accordance with LEED Platinum requirements, among the highest global standards for sustainable construction, they will be the only office blocks in the city to achieve this recognition in full from the outset.
This milestone underlines Marina Port Valencia’s commitment to championing responsible growth in line with the most advanced environmental criteria.
LEED Platinum certification applies stringent criteria covering energy efficiency, responsible water use, indoor environmental quality, materials selection and the minimisation of environmental impact. Securing this certification involves integrating cutting-edge design solutions, renewable energy, consumption control and measures aimed at enhancing wellbeing and lower emissions. Both buildings will feature green spaces on every floor, controlled natural lighting, areas to park and charge bicycles and scooters, electric vehicle charging points, and rooftop solar energy generation. With architecture shaped by optimised envelopes and natural ventilation, the buildings reinforce an efficient model aligned with the most exacting standards.
Together, the two buildings in Marina Norte provide over 12,000 m² for offices, co-working, commercial units and hospitality, featuring open-plan layouts, landscaped areas, large terraces and rooftops across both buildings totalling more than 2,200 m². Thanks to their setting at the marina’s entrance and the 360° panoramic views, the buildings provide a bright, comfortable environment connected naturally to the sea, encouraging productivity in inspiring offices and offering employees the opportunity to relax or enjoy activities after work, nautical or otherwise.
For Marina Port Valencia, this double recognition is a clear reflection of the project’s commitment to sustainability and positive impact on its surroundings. What’s more, the development embeds environmental responsibility into every decision, from architectural design to mobility and energy use.
Having turned these buildings into benchmarks for sustainability reinforces Marina Port Valencia’s conviction that the future of the port will be shaped by the union of innovation, respect for the environment and an amazing relationship between city and sea.
