Marina Port Valencia had its own stand at Barcelona International Boat Show
Marina Port Valencia unveiled its project to position the city of Valencia as a benchmark yachting destination in the Mediterranean
Between 8 and 12 October, Marina Port Valencia had its very own stand at the revamped Barcelona International Boat Show, where it unveiled the details of its trailblazing project and its proposed developments over the coming years.
Barcelona Boat Show, a first-rate event that every year attracts shipyards, designers, owners, brokers and captains from all over the world, launched a new Village in this year’s edition, which was the social and business hub for industry-leading companies.
Marina Port Valencia presented the four strategic areas of its project:
- Four marinas for yachts from 6 to 130 metres LOA
- An open refit and repair yard with a capacity of up to 750 tons
- A dynamic business space with offices, co-working spaces and commercial units for entrepreneurs, companies and restaurants
- A leisure and lifestyle area that will turn the marina into an international destination and a meeting point open to the city.
Santiago Donat, Director of Marina Port Valencia, stressed that “our presence at Barcelona Boat Show was an important step in publicising the project for the new facilities and showing the city’s huge potential as a national and international yachting destination. This is just the beginning of a new chapter in which we want to further establish Valencia as a meeting point for owners, captains, crew, companies, professionals in general and yachting enthusiasts”.
The redevelopment works kicked off in September, with a first phase focused on the modernisation of the pontoons to make them sustainable, the construction of two buildings in Marina Norte for offices, commercial units and restaurants, and the introduction of many yachting-related services that didn’t use to exist in Valencia.
After attending Barcelona Boat Show, held in Port Vell, Marina Port Valencia will be participating as a Premium Partner at Valencia Boat Show, which is taking place between Wednesday 22 and Sunday 26 October.
On this occasion, the event will be held in Marina Port Valencia itself, with the La Marineta building playing host to its own stand.
During Valencia Boat Show, Marina Port Valencia will continue to share its vision of growth, innovation and sustainability, while also unveiling some of the innovations that will be launched in the upcoming months.
