Marina Port Valencia is actively working on the regeneration of all the spaces of the port area with the aim of enhancing its natural, architectural, urban and landscape environment, guaranteeing safety, sustainability and citizen enjoyment, as well as the integration of the port with the city.
This regeneration commitment has begun with the actions that are being carried out on the north breakwater and specifically in the space, which for years housed a restaurant establishment, built on the occasion of the works for the celebration of the America’s Cup.
The action in the building has begun with the rehabilitation and cleaning of the metal structure on the side of the breakwater and on the inside. The state of oxidation of the building was so advanced that the process of cleaning and treating the metal parts has lasted ten weeks.
In this sense, Marina Port Valencia has assumed this cleaning and the cost to return that restaurant establishment to its original state and turn it into the first conversion and transformation action planned throughout the marina, along with other works that are being carried out on the pontoons, especially in what is now called Marina City (formerly T).
On the structure, once recovered and clean, the ERRE Arquitectura studio will carry out a comprehensive renovation of the restaurant itself that will transform it into a place of reference in terms of design, returning it to the city of Valencia and its citizens. The construction works will begin in this month of July.
Marina Port Valencia’s commitment is to ensure that each new action in the enclosure meets high standards of quality, sustainability, functionality, accessibility and respect for this strategic enclave for the city and its residents.
